I host and maintain the code for a few web-sites:

LiveBandPhotos (Mobile)

LiveBandPhotos provides up-to-date gig lists for many bands and venues within the Essex and Hertfordshire area allowing registered bands and venues to publish their gigs. It is the largest web site that serves this area.

Originally LiveBandPhotos.com was created as a complete backup of the main site Livebandphotos.co.uk sharing the database and code, with a few customizations for whenever there were problems with the servers on the main site.

Since August 2010, this has been completely re-architected as a new mobile version of the main site using its own snapshot copy of the gigs database that is updated asynchronously from the non-mobile site.

The database snapshot also serves as a backup and allow instant restoration of the original database in case of a hardware failure.
